Eligibility for Membership

Membership is open to persons age 16 or older who have been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder. Documentation from a mental health service provider is needed to verify eligibility for membership.

Referral

Referrals are accepted from the individual seeking services, family members or other caregivers, and physical, mental health or other service providers.

To Apply for Membership

Contact the Admissions Office at (423) 624-4800, ext. 113 or (423) 702-8013. An intake appointment will be scheduled. The appointment consists of a tour of the facility, completion of a membership application, and completion of release(s) of information to request documentation to verify eligibility for membership.

Orientation

After being approved for membership, an orientation appointment is scheduled. Orientation includes an overview of the many opportunities available at the AIM Center and participation in each unit of clubhouse operation. The new member will then choose the unit he/she wishes to participate.

PLEASE NOTE: AIM membership is not required to apply for AIM Housing.
