Our programs are open to people ages 16 and older with personality disorders and psychiatric disabilities such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, co-occurring disorder, and clinical depression.

Physicians or mental health providers refer many participants to us, but we welcome self-referrals and referrals by family members. After joining our program, participants may return and use our services throughout their lifetime.

Applying for our services

For more information or to apply for our services, contact our admissions office at 423.624.4800, ext. 113 or call 423.702.8013.

We will schedule an intake appointment where you will tour our facility, and complete an application and other paperwork. Once you’re admitted, you’ll come back for an orientation that includes an overview of our services and the clubhouse units you may participate in.

Note: If you are interested in clubhouse-model services, but live outside the Chattanooga area, visit the International Center for Clubhouse Development.

Scam Alert!

Housing Choice Vouchers and Suspect Websites

At this time, Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) are NOT taking applications for Housing Choice Vouchers, formerly named Section 8 Vouchers.

There are websites that offer to give someone information or sign them up for a voucher. They offer to check credit scores, sign you up for expensive games to play on your cell phone or require a payment. These sites then offer to provide information on how to sign up for a voucher. These websites are not affiliated with Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA), the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) or the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Since our area housing providers are not accepting applications, these websites CANNOT help anyone get on a wait list or get a voucher. When wait lists open, consumers are not charged a fee to apply or asked to sign up for credit checks or cell phone games.

Protect yourself! Do not provide personal information to suspect websites.

Below are the correct web addresses for legitimate housing sites:

Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA): www.chahousing.org

Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA): www.thda.org

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): www.hud.gov
