Computer Education classes are taught by our Education Specialist and are held in the Education Center’s computer lab. Classes teach the computer skills to help participants become employed, communicate, and enjoy technology. Class schedules vary.

Introduction to Computers: Learn the basics of computer function.

Communicating: Access and use web-based email programs. Composition of personal and professional email is covered in detail.

Introduction to the Internet: Navigate the Internet and access information.

Advocacy and Recovery Using the Internet: Access online information about recovery and advocacy. Learn about online support groups and the benefits and risks of virtual communities.

Communicating Using the Internet: Learn about Web-based email programs for professional and person use, and safety and privacy issues.

Career Connect: Conduct a successful web-based job search, including learning about commonly used websites, application and resume formatting and submitting, privacy issues, and local employer websites.

Independent Resources Through the Internet: Find housing and other resources using the Internet.
